Yes, confidence is your competitive advantage!
One thing I’m sure we have all noticed is that clients don’t seem to be suffering from a lack of information.
If anything, they have too much of it.
Every day there’s another headline about mortgage rates.
Another prediction about the economy.
Another opinion about housing prices.
Another expert explaining what happens next.
Buyers see it.
Sellers see it.
And after a while, all that information starts creating something else.
Uncertainty.
A buyer reads three different articles and gets three different conclusions.
A seller talks to two neighbors and hears two completely different stories.
Everyone has information.
Very few people have the confidence to use that information.
That’s where I think the opportunity is for agents right now.
Not because we know exactly what happens next.
We don’t.
Nobody does.
But clients aren’t hiring us to predict the future.
They’re hiring us to help them make decisions in the present.
I’ve always believed that one of the most valuable things an agent can provide is perspective.
Perspective helps people understand what matters.
Perspective helps people ignore distractions.
Perspective helps people move forward when they’re feeling stuck.
The agents who seem to be gaining traction right now aren’t necessarily the smartest people in the room.
They aren’t the loudest.
They aren’t posting the most content.
They’re the ones creating confidence in their clients.
They’re helping buyers understand their options.
They’re helping sellers understand the market they’re actually in.
They’re helping people move from uncertainty to action.
As we head into a new week, I think that’s worth remembering.
Information is everywhere.
Confidence is much harder to find.
And that may be one of the most valuable things an agent can offer.
WHAT I’M SEEING
1. Buyers are still entering the market.
The narrative that “nobody is buying” simply doesn’t match what many agents are experiencing.
1. Many agents are spending more time looking for new leads than following up with existing opportunities.
2. The most successful agents seem unusually patient right now.
3. Clients appear to value confidence and clarity more than predictions.
4. The gap between productive agents and busy agents appears to be widening.
Those are my thoughts for this Sunday, as I think about what I can offer that might give you some information and inspiration for the week ahead.
